Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead the design and construction of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and public facilities, ensuring compliance with local and state codes.
- Technical Oversight: Conduct thorough site inspections and quality control reviews to ensure engineering standards are met and project timelines are adhered to.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, city officials, and the public to communicate project status, address concerns, and facilitate smooth project delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance: Navigate complex permitting processes and ensure all engineering solutions adhere to environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates, monitoring expenditures to ensure financial accountability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E.) or related field from an accredited university.
- Licensure: Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in municipal engineering or public works project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar BIM software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical data to non-technical audiences.
