Responsibilities
- Perform engineering analysis, design, and preparation of construction documents for highway and bridge projects.
- Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Conduct field surveys, material testing, and geotechnical investigations.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules for review by senior staff.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to resolve project issues.
- Ensure all projects adhere to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Assist in the management of project budgets and resources.
Qualifications
- Valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of California.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar engineering design software.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
