Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage network infrastructure and server environments during night shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Execute critical system backups, patch management, and security updates to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Respond to and resolve technical incidents and service tickets that arise during off-peak hours with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine security audits, vulnerability assessments, and firewall configuration reviews.
- Document all operational procedures and create detailed technical reports for the day shift team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement long-term infrastructure improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of professional experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Must be available and willing to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, and firewall technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Experience with remote access protocols and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and obtain a state security clearance.
