Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative recreational programs serving 5,000+ annual participants
- Lead cross-functional teams in park maintenance and special event coordination
- Manage departmental budgets exceeding $200K for facility improvements
- Develop strategic partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits
- Ensure ADA compliance and safety standards across all park facilities
- Conduct community outreach to identify emerging recreation needs
- Supervise seasonal staff and volunteers (15+ personnel)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in parks and recreation
- CPRP certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proven budget management and grant-writing success
- Advanced knowledge of Ohio park regulations and safety protocols
- Exceptional conflict resolution and stakeholder communication skills
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- Experience with CRM and facility management software
