Responsibilities
- Process and review pension applications, vesting statements, and retirement claims with 100% accuracy.
- Calculate pension disbursements and retirement income projections based on federal formulas.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee financial data and personal records.
- Ensure full compliance with ERISA, FICA, and other federal government pension regulations.
- Conduct routine audits of pension files to identify discrepancies and prevent fraud.
- Assist the Payroll Department with night shift reconciliation and reporting duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or Business Administration is required.
- 5+ years of professional experience in pension administration, payroll processing, or benefits management.
- Strong working knowledge of federal retirement laws (e.g., FERS, CSRS) and ERISA regulations.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (6:00 PM - 2:30 AM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS or payroll software (e.g., SAP, ADP).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve complex financial problems.
