Responsibilities
- Manage Night Shift Operations: Oversee the end-of-day processing of pension claims, retiree requests, and benefit adjustments during the night shift.
- Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure all pension data entry complies with ERISA regulations and internal government auditing standards.
- Retiree Communication: Respond to inquiries from government retirees regarding pension statements, vesting, and benefit calculations.
- System Management: Monitor and maintain pension management software and databases for accuracy and security.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze nightly reports to identify discrepancies and ensure timely payouts.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the day shift team and legal compliance officers to resolve complex pension issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits processing, or government accounting.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and ERISA-compliant software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect errors in complex financial data and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with retirees and stakeholders.
