Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration of the municipal pension plan, ensuring strict compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Analyze actuarial reports and manage fund disbursements to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and financial transparency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for beneficiaries regarding retirement inquiries, plan details, and benefit calculations.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to mitigate financial discrepancies and ensure accountability.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to streamline retirement processes and improve overall employee satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, government finance, or actuarial science.
- Strong understanding of ERISA regulations, FERS, and state-specific public sector retirement systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a standard government background check.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with pension management software is highly preferred.
