Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for legislative initiatives and agency programs
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data using advanced statistical tools (SAS, R, Python)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement policy pilots
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership and state legislators
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess implications for Colorado programs
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and advocacy groups
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate interdepartmental policy reviews
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative data analysis and visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in drafting policy briefs and legislative testimony
- Deep understanding of Colorado's legislative and regulatory processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with equity impact assessments and inclusive policy design
- Valid Colorado driver's license (for occasional travel to rural communities)
