Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban issues and draft policy recommendations for City Council consideration
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives on housing affordability and climate action strategies
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using GIS data, demographic trends, and stakeholder feedback
- Present findings to elected officials, community boards, and public forums
- Manage grant-funded projects related to equitable urban development
- Collaborate with legal team to ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior analysts and interns
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in Oregon public policy frameworks and municipal governance
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, ArcGIS)
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and public speaking
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Portfolio of published policy briefs or research papers
