Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging security threats and draft comprehensive policy recommendations
- Coordinate interagency initiatives and collaborate with congressional stakeholders
- Evaluate existing security programs through data-driven impact assessments
- Develop legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks for homeland security
- Lead cross-functional teams during crisis response planning
- Present findings to senior leadership and congressional committees
- Maintain compliance with federal regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of federal government policy analysis experience
- Expert knowledge of homeland security frameworks and regulations
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-agency projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for high-stakes presentations
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with policy impact assessment tools and budget analysis
