Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate homeland security policies through rigorous data analysis and stakeholder engagement
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement federal initiatives across multiple agencies
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefings for senior leadership and congressional committees
- Monitor emerging threats and recommend evidence-based mitigation strategies
- Manage complex regulatory compliance frameworks for critical infrastructure protection
- Coordinate with international partners on border security and counterterrorism efforts
- Mentor junior analysts to foster next-generation policy expertise
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, International Relations, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years federal policy experience with homeland security focus
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis and policy modeling tools
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret/SCI highly desirable)
- Demonstrated success in interagency collaboration and stakeholder management
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (CFR, FISMA, NISPOM)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with policy documentation experience
