Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft legislative recommendations for state agencies
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to evaluate program effectiveness
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces on cross-functional initiatives
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess potential impacts on Ohio operations
- Present findings to legislative committees and public stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded research projects with $500K+ budgets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or Stata)
- Proven track record of developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Ohio residency required upon hire
- Valid Ohio driver's license for travel to state facilities
- Clear criminal background check and security clearance
