Responsibilities
- Research and analyze local, state, and federal policies affecting county operations
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations for Board of Commissioners review
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholder meetings
- Coordinate interdepartmental projects to ensure policy alignment
- Monitor legislative changes and assess potential county impacts
- Manage public consultation processes and community feedback integration
- Oversee program implementation and effectiveness evaluation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis or government experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and research methodologies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with public budgeting and grant application processes
- Strong knowledge of Nebraska state government operations
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background clearance
