As a key member of our Policy & Innovation Division, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze complex challenges, develop evidence-based solutions, and implement strategic initiatives that enhance the quality of life for Tucson residents. Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and recommend evidence-based solutions to city leadership
- Research and evaluate local, state, and federal regulations affecting municipal operations
- Develop comprehensive policy proposals and implementation strategies
- Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations for public officials
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups and agencies
- Monitor policy implementation effectiveness and recommend adjustments
- Stay current on emerging trends in public administration and governance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Expertise in policy development, implementation, and evaluation processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare complex reports
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or similar)
- Knowledge of Arizona state and local government structures
- Valid Arizona driver's license
