Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and evaluate complex public policy issues across multiple city departments
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations and implementation strategies
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership and elected officials
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify community needs and policy solutions
- Monitor legislative developments and assess potential impacts on city operations
- Lead cross-functional projects addressing Denver's most pressing challenges
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to navigate complex governmental structures and processes
- Experience with policy impact analysis and data visualization tools
- Valid Colorado driver's license (position may require travel)
- U.S. citizenship required for federal compliance
