Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban data to inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Lead cross-functional initiatives addressing housing affordability and climate resilience
- Draft legislative proposals and zoning regulations for City Council review
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with community boards and private developers
- Prepare comprehensive environmental impact statements under SEQRA
- Collaborate with mayoral agencies on citywide planning initiatives
- Present findings to public officials and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government
- Expertise in NYC zoning codes and land-use regulations
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software and statistical analysis tools
- Proven ability to manage complex interagency projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- New York City residency required within 90 days of hire
