Responsibilities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to inform state policy decisions impacting Detroit communities
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for urban development and infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement federal/state grant programs
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for state leadership
- Monitor program effectiveness through KPI tracking and impact assessments
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with municipal partners and community organizations
- Manage budget allocations for regional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing data-driven policy recommendations
- Experience with federal grant administration (e.g., HUD, DOT programs)
- Strong knowledge of Michigan's legislative processes
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Valid Michigan driver's license
