Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft comprehensive reports for City Council and executive leadership
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research and stakeholder engagement to inform policy recommendations
- Develop implementation strategies for legislative initiatives and regulatory frameworks
- Monitor federal/state policy trends and assess local impacts with actionable insights
- Lead interdepartmental projects addressing housing, sustainability, and economic development
- Present findings to diverse audiences including policymakers and community groups
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field with 5+ years experience
- Proven expertise in policy analysis, program evaluation, and quantitative research methods
- Deep knowledge of California's legislative process and local government operations
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SQL) and policy modeling software
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
