Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation and regulatory impacts using quantitative/qualitative methods
- Develop policy briefs and recommendations for executive leadership
- Coordinate with agency stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess state adaptation requirements
- Present findings to legislative committees and senior officials
- Manage research projects with cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years in government policy analysis or legislative affairs
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Strong written/verbal communication with policy writing samples
- Knowledge of New York State government structure and processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
