Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for City Council and Mayoral initiatives
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts on Baltimore communities
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with residents, nonprofits, and government agencies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership
- Monitor federal/state policy trends and assess local implications
- Manage grant-funded projects related to urban policy implementation
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate interdepartmental task forces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative data analysis (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with community engagement methodologies
- Knowledge of Maryland state regulations and Baltimore City ordinances
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with policy writing samples
- Valid Maryland driver's license (required for field work)
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
