Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations using quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Coordinate with state agencies, local governments, and community stakeholders
- Prepare legislative briefs and policy reports for executive leadership
- Monitor federal and state legislation affecting San Jose region
- Lead cross-functional task forces on public health initiatives
- Present findings to legislative committees and public forums
- Manage policy implementation and impact assessment projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, or SAS)
- Expertise in California legislative processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
- Experience with public health policy initiatives preferred
- Ability to obtain security clearance
