Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues across housing, transportation, and economic development sectors
- Develop data-driven recommendations for Board of Supervisors and Mayor's office
- Facilitate interdepartmental task forces and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps
- Monitor legislative changes and assess city compliance requirements
- Lead cross-functional project teams for major initiatives
- Manage $2M+ annual program budgets with fiscal accountability
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience in municipal settings
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Proven track record of drafting successful legislation or ordinances
- Expert knowledge of California Public Records Act and Sunshine Laws
- Experience managing diverse stakeholder coalitions
- Valid California driver's license
- Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desirable
