Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulatory impacts using advanced quantitative methods
- Develop policy briefs and implementation roadmaps for agency stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align policy objectives with strategic goals
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor emerging policy trends and recommend adaptive strategies
- Manage grant-funded research projects with $500K+ budgets
- Mentor junior analysts and optimize departmental workflows
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis (Stata/R/Python)
- Proven track record of drafting enacted legislation or regulations
- Advanced knowledge of NYS budget processes and procurement systems
- Valid NYS driver's license (travel required)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Professional certification (e.g., CPPP) preferred
