Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex social policy issues to inform legislative recommendations
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and impact assessments for state programs
- Collaborate with legislative committees and stakeholder groups to implement policy changes
- Monitor federal policy developments and assess implications for Colorado programs
- Manage cross-functional projects involving 5+ state agencies
- Present findings to senior leadership and public forums
- Oversee compliance with state regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Social Work, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methods and data visualization
- Proven track record of developing actionable policy recommendations
- Deep understanding of Colorado state legislative processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
- Proficiency in policy analysis software (e.g., SAS, Stata)
