Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with Arizona's strategic priorities
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using statistical software and data visualization tools
- Collaborate with legislators, stakeholders, and community leaders to implement policy solutions
- Prepare executive-level briefings and legislative testimony for state government leadership
- Monitor federal/state legislation changes and assess operational impacts on DES programs
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute policy implementation projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (SPSS, R, or SAS) and data visualization
- Proven track record of developing actionable policy recommendations for state agencies
- Expertise in Arizona's legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with ability to present complex concepts
- Valid Arizona driver's license required for statewide travel
