Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal/state/local legislation and assess impacts on Charlotte's strategic priorities
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations for city council and mayor's office
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives on housing, transportation, and economic development
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative bodies
- Stakeholder engagement with community leaders and government partners
- Monitor budget allocations and ensure compliance with grant requirements
- Lead public forums and community outreach sessions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years government/public policy experience
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with GIS and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of NC state/federal grant processes
- Superior written/verbal communication skills
- Valid NC driver's license
