Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative proposals addressing housing, education, and economic development
- Analyze complex datasets to assess policy impacts and recommend evidence-based solutions
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community organizations, government agencies, and legislative bodies
- Manage policy implementation projects ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Prepare testimony and presentations for Council hearings and public forums
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee quality assurance of policy documents
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field with 5+ years experience
- Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative policy analysis methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software
- Demonstrated success in navigating complex government regulatory environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with policy audiences
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder collaboration
- Knowledge of DC government structure and policy landscape preferred
