Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative proposals for state initiatives
- Analyze complex data sets to identify emerging trends and policy implications
- Collaborate with agency heads to implement strategic state programs
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor federal regulations for impact on New York residents
- Manage stakeholder engagement across public and private sectors
- Oversee interdepartmental task forces on cross-cutting issues
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, Python, SAS)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation or regulatory frameworks
- Expert knowledge of New York State government operations
- Valid NYS driver's license (if travel required)
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Security clearance eligibility
