Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and evaluate complex policy issues to inform evidence-based recommendations
- Develop and draft legislative proposals, reports, and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Collaborate with state agencies, stakeholders, and community partners to align policy objectives
- Monitor implementation of existing policies and measure outcomes using quantitative/qualitative metrics
- Present findings to legislative committees, agency heads, and public forums
- Lead cross-functional initiatives addressing climate, equity, and economic development priorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and data visualization
- Proven ability to navigate complex legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Deep understanding of Washington State government structure and budget processes
