Responsibilities
- Analyze complex economic trends and policy impacts to inform strategic recommendations
- Develop evidence-based policy proposals addressing workforce development and industry growth
- Collaborate with legislative stakeholders and agency partners to advance policy initiatives
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with businesses, community organizations, and local governments
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and legislative testimony for senior leadership
- Monitor federal and state legislative developments affecting economic policy
- Manage research projects using quantitative and qualitative analysis methods
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in economic development, workforce policy, or industry-specific regulations
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, R, or Python)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with policy experience
- Proven ability to navigate complex government processes and stakeholder dynamics
- Washington State residency required within 30 days of hire
- Valid driver's license for occasional statewide travel
