Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and recommend solutions to complex state policy challenges
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for agency leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives
- Monitor federal and state legislative changes affecting Florida's operations
- Present findings to high-level officials and stakeholder groups
- Lead policy impact assessments and cost-benefit analyses
- Maintain compliance with Florida Sunshine Law and public records requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency in policy development tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, SPSS)
- Deep knowledge of Florida's legislative process and regulatory framework
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics
- Valid Florida driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
