Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislation and regulations to recommend evidence-based policy solutions
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced statistical methods and data visualization tools
- Develop policy briefs and executive summaries for state leadership
- Coordinate interagency task forces on public health, transportation, and economic initiatives
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess Georgia's compliance requirements
- Present findings to legislative committees and stakeholder forums
- Mentor junior analysts on research methodologies and ethical governance practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, Stata) and GIS mapping tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of Georgia state government operations
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with policy writing samples
- Valid Georgia driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Clear background check and citizenship verification
