Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to identify emerging policy trends and evaluate program effectiveness
- Develop comprehensive policy proposals, legislative briefs, and implementation roadmaps for county initiatives
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing critical issues like housing equity, climate resilience, and public health
- Present findings to legislative bodies, community boards, and public stakeholders through compelling visual reports
- Monitor federal, state, and local legislative developments to assess impacts on county operations
- Manage policy implementation projects including stakeholder engagement, timeline tracking, and outcome measurement
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in municipal or county government
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing evidence-based policy solutions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex information
- Deep knowledge of NYC's governmental structure, regulatory frameworks, and community dynamics
- Experience managing stakeholder engagement processes with diverse community groups
