Responsibilities
- Analyze complex economic data and policy trends to recommend actionable strategies for Tennessee's growth initiatives
- Collaborate with legislators, stakeholders, and agency leaders to develop evidence-based policy recommendations
- Manage grant programs and compliance reporting for federal/state economic development projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and legislative briefings for executive leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement policy initiatives across urban and rural communities
- Monitor legislation and regulatory changes affecting Tennessee's economic landscape
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methods and data visualization
- Proficient with policy development software (e.g., SAS, R, Tableau)
- Strong understanding of Tennessee's economic landscape and legislative process
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with reliable transportation
