Responsibilities
- Analyze economic data and policy trends to recommend actionable strategies for Memphis regional development
- Collaborate with local government officials to align state initiatives with community priorities
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative proposals for executive review
- Manage grant programs supporting small businesses and workforce development initiatives
- Conduct stakeholder outreach and facilitate public engagement sessions
- Monitor compliance with state regulations and reporting requirements
- Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve economic development milestones
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau)
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing economic development programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex concepts
- Knowledge of Tennessee's economic landscape and regulatory framework
- Experience managing government grants and budgets
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for sensitive information
