Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for City Council adoption
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on homelessness prevention and economic justice
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using GIS mapping and statistical modeling
- Develop equity impact assessments for major legislative proposals
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community organizations and state agencies
- Present findings to legislative bodies and prepare executive briefings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience in municipal settings
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, ArcGIS)
- Demonstrated success in drafting policy frameworks adopted by local governments
- Knowledge of California's Housing Element and CEQA processes
- Experience managing public comment periods and community outreach initiatives
- Valid California Driver's License
