Responsibilities
- Analyze complex environmental and energy policy issues to inform legislative and regulatory decisions
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations aligned with state climate goals and economic priorities
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, legislative testimony, and public communications materials
- Monitor implementation of existing policies and evaluate effectiveness through quantitative analysis
- Coordinate inter-agency task forces to address cross-cutting environmental challenges
- Represent the agency at public forums and legislative hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Environmental Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in environmental policy, energy systems, or climate resilience strategies
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, R, Python, SQL) and statistical modeling
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated policy writing samples
- Experience with Massachusetts legislative process and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with competing priorities
