Responsibilities
- Analyze complex fiscal policies and recommend evidence-based solutions for state agencies
- Conduct economic impact studies and prepare detailed policy briefings for legislative stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic initiatives aligned with Tennessee's 5-year roadmap
- Present findings to executive leadership and legislative committees through compelling visual reports
- Monitor federal grant opportunities and manage compliance for state-funded programs
- Mentor junior analysts and lead interdepartmental task force initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (Bachelor's with 5+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 3 years in government policy analysis or public sector research
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, or SAS) and data visualization tools
- Deep knowledge of Tennessee's legislative processes and state budget systems
- Proven experience preparing testimony for legislative hearings or regulatory proceedings
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
- Professional certification (e.g., PPFA, CPFA) preferred
