Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate state policies across healthcare, education, and economic development sectors
- Analyze legislative proposals and recommend evidence-based solutions to senior leadership
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and executive summaries for cabinet-level officials
- Coordinate with 15+ state agencies to implement cross-functional initiatives
- Manage stakeholder engagement with legislative bodies, community organizations, and industry partners
- Lead data-driven research using Indiana's public data platforms
- Mentor junior analysts and maintain compliance with state regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Proven track record of developing state-level policy recommendations
- Deep understanding of Indiana's legislative and regulatory landscape
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with executive briefing experience
- Valid Indiana driver's license (for agency travel)
- US citizenship and Indiana residency required
