Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for state agencies
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced data analysis tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policy initiatives
- Present findings to senior leadership and legislative bodies
- Monitor policy outcomes and adjust strategies based on performance metrics
- Manage stakeholder relationships including community groups and industry partners
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and federal requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, Stata)
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Washington state legislative processes
- Valid Washington State driver's license
