Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and impact assessments for municipal initiatives
- Develop data-driven recommendations for City Council and Mayor's Office priorities
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups and government agencies
- Prepare detailed policy briefs, legislative analyses, and implementation roadmaps
- Monitor federal/state policy changes affecting local governance
- Manage cross-departmental projects related to urban development and social equity
- Present findings to elected officials and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Deep understanding of New Mexico state and local government structures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record of developing actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with public budgeting processes and grant writing
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
