Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze complex public policy solutions for state agencies
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to inform decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policy initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative bodies
- Monitor legislative changes and assess potential impacts on state programs
- Engage with stakeholders and community representatives to gather feedback
- Lead policy development projects from conception to implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (SPSS, R, Excel)
- Knowledge of California state government processes and regulations
- Experience with policy development and implementation frameworks
