Responsibilities
- Analyze urban development trends and draft comprehensive policy recommendations for City Council review
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community boards, nonprofits, and private sector partners
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using NYC Open Data and proprietary datasets
- Prepare detailed legislative memos and testimony for public hearings
- Coordinate with agency partners on interdepartmental policy initiatives
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes affecting NYC's urban landscape
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Expertise in NYC municipal code and land use procedures
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, SPSS)
- Demonstrated success in translating complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Valid New York State driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
