Responsibilities
- Research and develop evidence-based health policies for urban populations
- Analyze complex datasets to identify emerging public health trends
- Collaborate with state legislators and community stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations
- Oversee implementation of health equity initiatives
- Manage interdepartmental projects with $2M+ budgets
- Mentor junior policy analysts and interns
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Policy, or related field
- 5+ years in policy analysis or government affairs
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R)
- Experience with Illinois legislative processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Project management certification preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license
