Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for City Council and Mayor's Office
- Analyze complex urban issues using quantitative data and qualitative research
- Collaborate with 15+ city departments on cross-functional initiatives
- Lead public engagement sessions with diverse community stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative proposals
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and recommend adjustments
- Represent the city at regional and state policy forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, or Stata)
- Expertise in Seattle's legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Superior written communication with 3+ published policy papers
- Proven project management of multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Valid Washington State driver's license
