Responsibilities
- Digitize and organize physical and electronic documents using advanced document management software.
- Retrieve and provide information to the public in strict accordance with Washington State Public Records Act guidelines.
- Perform high-speed data entry with a high degree of accuracy and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Assist in the scheduling and preparation of public records requests and correspondence.
- Collaborate with the records management team to implement and maintain new filing systems and database protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and report needs to the administrative supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Records Management or Public Administration is a plus.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and document scanning hardware is highly preferred.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy (minimum 45 WPM).
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws and confidentiality protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid or remote environment.
- Must be a resident of the State of Washington.
