Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Develop comprehensive policy briefings and reports for congressional oversight committees
- Coordinate with interagency partners to align on national security strategies
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support evidence-based policymaking
- Monitor legislative developments and assess regulatory impacts
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing emerging security challenges
- Present policy recommendations to high-level stakeholders including Cabinet members
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of federal policy analysis experience
- Expertise in homeland security or national defense policy frameworks
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Demonstrated success in influencing policy through written and oral advocacy
- Experience managing multi-million dollar policy implementation budgets
- Knowledge of federal procurement and regulatory processes
