Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive policy research projects using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Analyze legislation, regulations, and socioeconomic data to identify opportunities for county improvement
- Develop policy briefs, reports, and presentations for executive leadership
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and government partners
- Evaluate program effectiveness using KPIs and recommend evidence-based adjustments
- Advise county departments on policy implementation strategies
- Represent Suffolk County in intergovernmental forums and working groups
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sectors
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python) and statistical methods
- Demonstrated success in translating complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Deep understanding of Boston's municipal landscape and county government operations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders
- Project management certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with participatory governance models and community engagement
