Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and develop data-driven recommendations for County leadership
- Research and evaluate emerging trends in public administration and best practices
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, reports, and presentations for diverse stakeholders
- Collaborate with multiple departments to implement and monitor policy initiatives
- Lead cross-functional working groups on strategic county priorities
- Advise senior officials on legislative impacts and regulatory compliance
- Develop performance metrics to assess policy effectiveness and outcomes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive policy analysis or government experience
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methods and data analysis
- Proven ability to translate complex information for executive audiences
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with local government operations and Maryland regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
