Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis to inform policy recommendations
- Develop legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks aligned with city priorities
- Stakeholder engagement with government agencies, community leaders, and residents
- Monitor implementation and evaluate effectiveness of existing policies
- Prepare clear, actionable reports for executive leadership and council members
- Lead cross-functional task forces on critical urban issues
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and regulatory documents
- Strong understanding of DC's unique governance structure and challenges
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
